DBBL declares stock dividend
The board of directors of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) has recommended 1:3.94719 stock dividend (three point nine four seven one nine bonus shares against one existing shares) for the year 2007. The annual general meeting (AGM) of the bank will be held at the Ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel at 10:30am on April 17, '08. The authorities of the have also stated that an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of the bank will also be held at 10am on April 17, '08 to amend a number of clauses of Memorandum and Articles of Association of the bank in connection with enhancement of authorised capital from Tk 400 million to Tk 1.0 billion as approved by Bangladesh Bank. The record date for AGM and EGM is March 23, '08. There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the bank today (Monday) following its corporate declaration.
Call to collect dividend warrants
All shareholders concerned of Bangladesh Auto Cars have been requested to collect their dividend warrants for the year 2006-2007 within Wednesday (February 27) from the share department of the company situated at 110 Tejgaon I/A, Dhaka-1208.
Shahjalal Islami Bank to increase authorised capital
The board of directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited has decided to increase the authorised capital of the bank to Tk 4.0 billion from existing Tk 2.0 billion subject to approval of Bangladesh Bank and extraordinary general meeting (EGM).
Response to DSE query
In response to a DSE query, the authorities of Therapeutics have stated that there is no undisclosed price sensitive information in connection with financial development of the company that might have impact on the trade of the shares of the company.
Shares upgraded
The shares of Reckitt Benckiser (Bd.) Limited will be placed in "B" category from existing "Z" category with effect from today (Monday) as the company reported disbursement of 6.0 cash dividend for the year 2006-2007.
PGCB signs deal with BTTB
The authorities of Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) have stated that the company has made a lease agreement with the Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board (BTTB) for three years to give back up support to BTTB as standby of optical fibre of Dhaka-Chittagong-Cox's Bazar through a pair of fibres of PGCB for uninterrupted international telecommunication services through submarine optical cables. As per newspaper reporting BTTB shall pay approximately Tk 182.50 million to PGCB in three phases for such facilities. However, confirmation of the company is yet to receive in this connection.
Sale of shares
Keya Detergent: Khaleque Knitting and Garments Ind. (Pvt.) Limited, one of the corporate sponsors of Keya Detergent has expressed its willingness to sell 3,00,000 shares out of its total holdings of 24,60,000 shares of the company at prevailing market price through stock exchange within next 30 working days.
Keya Cosmetics: Khaleque Knitting and Garments Ind. (Pvt.) Ltd., one of the corporate sponsors of Keya Cosmetics has expressed its willingness to sell 3,00,000 shares out of its total holdings of 1,42,89,732 shares of the company at prevailing market price through stock exchange within next 30 working days. — DSE/CSE Online
