Curtain comes down on 3-day ICT-Expo-2015

Curtains came down on the three-day ICT Expo Fair-2015 on Wednesday night. President Md Abdul Hamid on Monday inaugurated the ICT-Expo Fair-2015 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the city. The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division and Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) in cooperation with different reputed local and international ICT companies jointly organised the event to showcase Bangladesh’s achievements in the ICT sector. State minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak attended the opening ceremony as the special guest. Addressing the programme, he said: The ICT-Expo-2015 aims promote Bangladesh in the global market by enhancing the ‘Made in Bangladesh’ concept in an effort to transform the country into a leading technology manufacturing one. He termed the ICT-Expo as the largest hardware exposition in the country. A total of 20 seminars and sessions were held during the three-day event at the BICC where nearly 150 IT experts and top officials of different foreign companies participated. Director of Bangladesh Association for Software and Information Services (BASIS) Ashraf Abir spoke at the closing ceremony, among others. Hundreds of people visited the Bangladesh ICT-Expo-2015 Fair which remained open from 10:00am to 8:00pm every day since it began on June 15.
