Customs Day observed in Benapole

BENAPOLE, Jan 26: The International Customs Day was observed at the Benapole Customs House Auditorium on Tuesday afternoon.
Benapole Customs House has been decorated colourfully on the occasion of the day.
The events hav been limited this year due to corona virus.
This time the day has been observed through seminars and discussion meeting.
Customs Commissioner Md. Azizur Rahman presided over the seminar, discussion meeting while Alhaj Sheikh Afil Uddin, MP, for Jasore-1 constituency was the chief guest. Mohammad Zakir Hossain, Commissioner, Jashore Customs VAT Commissionerate was present as the keynote speaker.
Benapole Customs Additional Commissioner presented the key note. Dr.Neyamul Islam
Additional commissioner, Jashore District Superintendent of Police Muhammad Ashraf Hossain, 49 BGB Battalion Commanding officer Lt Col Selim Reza, Sarsha Upazila Chairman Sirajul Haque Manju and C&F Agents Association President Mofizur Rahman Sajon were present and spoke at the discussion meeting.
Later, the chief guest handed over crests to the top 12 taxpayers.
Customs House officials and C&F agents and Importers were present in the discussion meeting.
