Customs, excise, VAT dept realises Tk 781.3m revenue in Feni Division

FENI, July 16 (BSS): The officials and employees of customs, excise and VAT department of Feni Division realised a record amount of Tk 781.30 million revenue in 2006-07 financial year.
The Feni Division comprises of Noakhali, Lakkhipur and Khagrachhari districts and Mirersari and Sitakunda of Chittagong for convenience of VAT collection from those areas. The division fixed a target of Tk 804.20 million for the last fiscal year.
They revenue earning is more than Tk 148 million higher than that of 2005-06 fiscal year, the customs sources said.
The customs office sources said 97.15 per cent revenue income in 2006-07 has surpassed all previous records of the division.
