Cut in oil price unlikely: Muhith

SYLHET, Dec 19 (UNB): Finance Minister AMA Muhith said here today there is no possibility of slashing the price of fuel oil in Bangladesh, although it has nosedived in the international market.
He was replying to queries from journalists after inaugurating the repaired Presbyterian Church at Nayasarak in Sylhet city in the afternoon.
Muhith said the oil price was never set in Bangladesh keeping pace with that on the international market. "We always sell oil at a cheaper price.
But it sees a hike at times as per our capacity."
He also said the oil prices on the international market would soon mark a rise.
