CWAB wants emergency medical service at all cricket venues

Wednesday, 29 October 2025

The Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) has urged the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to set up emergency medical services at all cricket grounds in the country, reports BSS.
The CWAB's request came in the wake of recent death incidents on the cricket ground. Barishal Division physio Hasan Ahmed was the latest to pass away after cardiac arrest during his side's National Cricket League (NCL) match against Khulna at Khulna Divisional Stadium. "Many cricket grounds are far away from hospitals. Therefore, it is very important to have an ambulance at every venue, so that any health-related problem can be dealt with immediately," CWAB said in a press release on Tuesday.
