CWASA detects revenue evasion worth Tk 0.9 million

CHITTAGONG, Oct 25: Chittagong WASA, through launching drives, unearthed separate incidents of evading revenue worth around Taka 0.9 million in OR Nizam Road area and West Madarbari DT Road area in the city today.
According to the C'WASA sources, keeping water meters of Hotel Niribili, Metropolitan Hospital and Metropolitan Diagnosis Centre in OR Nizam Road area inoperative, low amounts of bills against consumption of water were used to be paid.
Moreover, incidents of evading revenue took place through installation of deep tubewells in an illegal manner in the same area.
C'WASA detected the incidents of illegally installing tubewells with the main line of C'WASA and misuse of water in Madarbari DT Road area in the city.
