C'WASA fines two bldg owners Tk 0.45m

CHITTAGONG, Sept 26: On the charge of pilfering water and evading revenue of Chittagong WASA (C'WASA), owners of two buildings were fined Tk 0.45 million Wednesday.
A C'WASA mobile team led by Magistrate Munir Chowdhury launched a drive in the port city's Chandgaon area and detected the incidents of pilferage of water of C'WASA in two six-storey buildings in Chandgaon area.
According to the sources, only Tk 300 to Tk 400 was being paid as monthly bill ever since the buildings were constructed in 2000.
