Cyclones of Ctg meet Raj Rangers in opener

A spectacular opening promises as star studded Cyclones of Chittagong (Chittagong Division) who signed Pakistan's Shoaib Akhter will take on Rajshahi Rangers (Rajshahi Division) in the inaugural of the Destiny Group National Cricket League Twenty20 match today (Sunday), reports BSS.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, MP will inaugurate the event as chief guest at 5:30pm at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur.
A grand laser show, cultural programme and fireworks display have been arranged at the inauguration ahead of the opening day's match between Chittagong Cyclones and Rajshahi Rangers which starts at 7:45pm.
The inauguration show and the match will be televised live on satellite channel ATN Bangla.
Destiny Group earned the title sponsorship of the new-look National Cricket League T20 somewhat similar to the ongoing noted Indian Premier League (IPL) with the sponsors providing Tk 15 million (1.5 crore) to run the show.
This tournament is expected to attract a good number of Pakistani players, alongside Sri Lankan and Indian cricketers appearing for different franchises.
Three teams -- Sultans of Sylhet, Rajshahi Rangers and Dhaka Dynamites -- in separate press briefings expressed their firm determination to go after the coveted crown saying that their least goal is nothing less than winning the title.
Dhaka Dynamites Captain Mohammad Ashraful said at a press briefing Saturday: "We have formed a perfect team for the T20 cricket and will fight for the top honours."
Dhaka Dynamites officials informed that two Sri Lankan players -- A Mendis and Thushara Mirando -- have already arrived in the capital to play for their team and Imran Nazir of Pakistan arrives in the city Sunday.
Dhaka Dynamites captain Mohamamd Ashraful, team owner Shayan F Rahman, Nazmul Hassan Papon MP and coach Khaled Mahmud Sujon were present at the briefing.
The NCL T20 with the participation of country's six divisional teams will be a perfect platform for the Bangladesh players going to Twenty20 World Cup in West Indies as this competition will run from April 11 to 20 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur (SBNCS) and the BKSP in Savar.
The participating teams have chosen their respective players from a selected pool through a lottery.
The tickets to watch Destiny Group National Cricket League T20 matches (up to semifinals) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur will be available at the counter near the VIP entrance.
The counter opens at 2pm for tomorrow's inauguration ceremony and opening match:

The players of NCLT20, divided in five groups, will get Tk 400,000 (Grade A +), Tk 300,000 (Grade A), Tk 200,000 (Grade B), Tk 150,000 (Grade C) and Tk 100,000 (Grade D).
The champions team will receive Tk 70,00,000, runners-up team Tk 35,00,000, man of the tournament Tk 100,000, fastest fifty maker Tk 50,000 and highest sixes maker Tk 50,000.
