Cyprus to launch publicity campaign to promote tourism

NICOSIA, Aug 19 (Xinhua): Cyprus will target United Kingdom, Germany and Russia as major tourism markets to attract more tourists next year from the three countries, the Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) said.
CTO will launch a publicity campaign in foreign countries with a budget of 12 million Cyprus pounds (about 28 million US dollars) in 2008, advertising Cyprus' tourist products.
The organisation has invited tender bids for the advertising campaign, CTO Marketing Director Michalis Metaxas told Cyprus News Agency.
The campaign will include the UK, Germany, Russia, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria, Russia, Ukraine, France, Greece, Sweden, Norway and some Arabic countries.
