Dacoits loot Tk 0.156m from RAKUB branch

SIRAJGANJ, June 5 (UNB): Dacoits looted about Tk 0.156 million (1.56 lakh) from Sayedabad branch of Rajshahi Krishi Unnyan Bank (RAKUB) at Porabarhaat, 8 kms away from Sirajganj town, at early hours Thursday.
The dacoits broke open the rear window grills of the house at about 1.00 am when it was raining heavily with squally winds and electricity supply disrupted. Dacoits looted the entire cash by breaking the locker. They also ransacked the office before leaving with the booty safely.
The police said a night guard, taken into custody, was undergoing interrogation.
