The popular retail chain 'Daily Shopping' has launched a campaign to stand by flood-affected people.
As part of the initiative, the retail chain shop will donate a portion from each transaction to provide relief to the affected people, says a press release.
The relief effort will be carried out in collaboration with the Bangladesh Army and local volunteers in Feni, Noakhali, Cumilla and other flood-affected areas.
Meanwhile, Daily Shopping is currently distributing dry food and water to 500 families from its own fund.
Omar Faruk, Head of Marketing of Daily Shopping said, "Daily Shopping has been operating 67 outlets across the country where thousands of transactions take place every day. We will allocate Tk 2 from each transaction, both in-store and online, to help those affected by flood. The fundraising activity will run until August 31, with the possibility of extension."
Daily Shopping offers a wide range of grocery and household products, baby food, personal care products, beverages, snacks, toiletries, cosmetics and plastic items. The customers can also order products through the Daily Shopping online site (dailyshoppingbd.com/) or by phone.
