Danish assistance for cyclone victims

The Danish Minister for Development Cooperation granted Saturday five million Danish Kroner for immediate humanitarian assistance. The Danish assistance is being provided through Red Crescent Society and other humanitarian organisations.
Meanwhile the embassy of Denmark expressed its deepest sympathy for the cyclone victims.
The embassy of Denmark will grant 0.50 million dollar to assist local relief efforts in Patuakhali and other areas. The grant will provide medical treatment of minor injuries, supply of drinking water through cleaning of wells and repair of hand pumps, distribution of baby food and supply of medicine and basic utensils.
