A new IT partnership between Capevo A/S of Denmark and LeadSoft Bangladesh Ltd. was signed recently for developing internet-based systems for sophisticated digital forms, says a press release.
In many countries in the Western world, customer and citizen service requirements are increasingly handled in digital format through the internet when dealing with organisations such as governmental departments, municipalities, banks, insurance companies etc.
Capevo A/S CEO Nils Mandrup said, "In the overall Danish governmental strategy, it is the goal of having all relevant communication in digital format by year 2012. This alone will open up for attractive market possibilities for our concept now being developed in co-operation with LeadSoft."
LeadSoft CEO Shaikh Abdul Aziz said, "We are very happy about this chance for us to work together with Capevo as this will bring in new and advanced skills from the Danish side in handling the system development. The partnership with Capevo will not only enable the local software professionals to acquire newer skills, but also will take Bangladesh forward in becoming an outsourcing location in computer software and services sector. After a 7 months development phase we expect to create a joint-venture set up in Bangladesh to take advantage of a number of attractive market opportunities coming up."
The planned know-how transfer will be supported by the DANIDA Business-to-Business (B2B) programme under the umbrella of the Royal Danish Embassy in Dhaka.
The agreement for starting up the co-operation under the support of the B2B Programme was formalised through a signing ceremony at the Royal Danish Embassy in the city last month. Danish Ambassador Einar HebogÄrd Jensen was present on the occasion.
