Danone Nations Cup Football begins today

The zonal phase of the Danone Nations Cup (10-12 years age groups) football tournament, organised by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), begins today (Sunday) at different venues across the country, reports UNB.
A total of 38 district teams, split into eight groups, are taking part in the first phase of the meet at the country's eight zonal venues -Gazipur, Brahmanbaria, Thakurgaon, Barisal, Rajbari, Meherpur, Bagerhat and Sirajganj.
Twenty-eight zonal matches will be held today at six venues while the zonal matches of Gazipur and Brahmanbaria will begin tomorrow (Monday).
BFF officials disclosed the details of the tournament at a press conference at the BFF Bhaban Saturday.
BFF member Fazlur Rahman Babul, BFF member Satyajit Das Rupu and national sales director of Grameen Danone Foods Ltd Zulfiquer Ali Siddique spoke on the occasion. BFF general secretary Al Mossabbir Saadi was present.
