Daraz Bangladesh, the country's leading e-commerce platform, has been awarded the prestigious Digital Commerce of the Year Award at the 10th BRAC Bank-The Daily Star ICT Awards, cementing its position as the country's most influential e-commerce platform, says a press release.
The 10th edition of the Awards highlighted achievements across digital finance, e-commerce, entrepreneurship, health-tech, software solutions, and innovation.
Planning Adviser Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud presented a Digital Commerce of the Year Award to AHM Hasinul Quddus (Rusho), Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Daraz Bangladesh, at a gala ceremony held at a city hotel recently.
AHM Hasinul Quddus (Rusho) said: We're honoured to be recognised alongside distinguished technology leaders shaping Bangladesh's digital future. At Daraz, e-commerce is about creating opportunities for millions of customers, empowering thousands of sellers, and building the infrastructure that will define Bangladesh's retail future."
The Digital Commerce of the Year Award evaluates nominees based on number of users, value addition, and revenue performance over the past three years. Daraz has demonstrated consistent growth across these metrics while expanding its reach to all 64 districts of Bangladesh, making quality products accessible to customers nationwide.
The BRAC Bank-The Daily Star ICT Awards, organised since 2016, recognise extraordinary achievements by ICT entrepreneurs and enterprises, raising awareness about technology's role in nation-building while encouraging innovation and excellence.
