Daring dacoity in Bheramara

KUSTIA, Dec 26 (BSS): A daring dacoity was committed in a residence in Juniadah village under Bheramara Upazila on Saturday late night and dacoits looted away valuables worth about Taka 15 lakhs including 25 tolas of gold and cash Taka two lakhs. Juniadah police camp incharge SI Abdul Hamid said a gang of dacoits numbering about 15 to 20 entered the house of one Nayan Miah, son of a retired armed forces member late Janmohammad breaking the gate of the house Saturday late night. SI Abdul Hamid also said the house of Nayan Miah is adjacent to the police camp and dacoits entered the house by breaking the main gate. Dacoits created panic by opening several rounds of gunshots. He said dacoits held hostage the inmates of the house on gunpoint and looted away the valuables worth about Taka 15 lakhs including gold ornaments and cash Taka two lakhs. Nayan Miah however saved himself by hiding on the roof of the building. Police visited the house after half an hour of the dacoity incident. Police is yet to arrest the dacoits and recover the looted valuables.
