David Emon sent to jail

CHATTOGRAM, July 30: A Chattogram court on Thursday sent notorious gangster Mobarak Hossain Emon, widely known as David Emon, to jail after showing him arrested in three criminal cases.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Saima Afrin Hima passed the order after police produced Emon before the court.
He has been shown arrested in three cases filed with Fatikchhari Police Station-one for murder and two under the Arms Act.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Chattogram District) Md Junaet Kawsar said Emon had been formally arrested in the three cases and was sent to jail following the court's order.
Meanwhile, police said Emon and four others have also been arrested in connection with the murder of businessman Maksudul Haque Chowdhury in the Pahartali area of the port city.
