DBBL approves 30pc cash dividend

Dutch Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) Thursday approved 30 per cent cash dividend (Tk 30 per share of Tk 100 each) for general public shareholders and foreign sponsorsshareholders for the year that ended on December 2010 excluding local sponsors, said a press statement. The approval came at the 15th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Bank held on the day in the city. Chairman of Dutch Bangla Bank Limited Zahid Hossain Khan presided over the meeting. Among others, members of the board, Sayem Ahmed (Chairman, Executive Committee of the Board), Md Fakhrul Islam, Dr Irshad Kamal Khan, Dr Syed Fakhrul Ameen, Chowdhury M Ashraf Hossain and the managing director of the bank KS Tabrez were present in the AGM. M Sahabuddin Ahmed, Chairman of Dutch-Bangla Bank Foundation and Founder Chairman of the bank and Bernhard Frey, former director of board of directors of DBBL and representative of foreign sponsor ECOTRIM Hongkong Limited were also present in the meeting. The accounts of the bank for the year that ended on December 31, 2010 were placed in the meeting.
