DBBL approves half-yearly unaudited financial statements

The 74th board meeting of Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd (DBBL) has approved its half-yearly unaudited financial statements-2007.
The meeting was held at the bank's head office in the city Sunday, said a press release.
Chairman of DBBL board of directors Abul Hasnat Md Rashidul Islam presided over the meeting. The half-yearly unaudited financial statements as on June 30, 2007 were elaborately discussed at the meeting.
During the first half of the current year, DBBL earned an operating profit of Tk 675.42 million as against Tk 594.33 million in the corresponding period of the previous year, marking a 13.64 per cent growth.
The net profit after provision and tax was Tk 215.96 million.
As on June 30, 2007, the total deposit of the bank stood at Tk 43,342.75 million against Tk 33,725.91 million of the corresponding period in the previous year.
Loans and advances stood at Tk. 32,933.17 million as against the corresponding figure of Tk 26,841.54 million of the previous year.
Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) as on June 30, 2007 stood at 9.10 per cent as against the Bangladesh Bank's minimum requirement of 9.0 per cent.
