DBBL conducts smile brighter programme at Satkhira

Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd (DBBL) organised 'smile brighter' programme on July 26-30 at Nalta Hospital in Satkhira town. A plastic surgery team consisting of 5 members headed by eminent plastic surgeon AJM Salek conducted the operations.
DBBL initiated the 'smile-brighter' plastic surgery programme for poor cleft-lipped boys and girls to bring back the endearing smile on their faces - as a part of their corporate social responsibility.
A discussion meeting was held at Nalta Hospital on July 26 on the occasion. Jayson Pharmaceuticals Ltd Managing Director Md Shafi Ullah was present as the chief guest at the meeting while Dhaka Ahsania Mission Executive Director Rafiqul Islam was present as special guest.
Orthopedic Surgeon Ruhul Haque and ex-director of Dhaka Pangu Hospital presided over the meeting.
The speakers of the programme profusely extolled the initiative of DBBL and expressed their hope that other corporate citizens of the country would follow the instance of DBBL.
The bank is making every effort to carry out its corporate social responsibility by way of carrying out diverse philanthropic activities, the speakers said.
DBBL Medical Consultant Mozammel Hossain Khan informed that about 200 cleft-lips boys and girls have been enlisted for this programme and out of which 90 is expected to be operated in this session.
