DBBL donates Tk 0.5m to Nurture in Ctg

Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) donated Tk 0.5 million to Nurture, a organisation working for disabled and paralysed people in Chittagong, to set up an orthopedic ward in their newly constructed hospital building.
DBBL Managing Director Md Yeasin Ali handed over the payment order to Nurture President Nasreen Baqui at a simple ceremony held on the hospital premises recently.
In this connection, a discussion meeting was held on the Nurture premises at Phul Chowdhury Para in North Hali Shahar of Chittagong. Nurture Adviser MM Rahman presided over the meeting.
Yeasin Ali, in his brief speech, said the bank is making every effort to carry out its corporate social responsibility, which has already created social awareness among the beneficiaries.
Referring to the activities performed by the bank for underprivileged groups, Ali mentioned that DBBL extended hand to the destitute and helpless people of the country by carrying out a wide range of community-based activities.
Among others, former director of the bank Nizamuddin Mahmood Selim, Mozammel Hossain Khan, a medical consultant, DBBL Agrabad Branch Manager AHM Humayun Chowdhury, eminent physicians, business personalities, local elites and journalists, were present, at the meeting.
