DBBL officials asked not to allow default culture

Officials of Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) have been directed not to allow default culture in the bank and to remain very careful about such events.
Managing Director of the bank Md Yeasin Ali gave the directive while presiding over the half-yearly post-closing discussion meeting of the bank in the city Tuesday, said a press release.
The meeting also reviewed the business performance of the bank for the half year that ended on June 30, 2007 and focused on business strategy for the next half-year keeping in mind the prevailing market and economic conditions.
The managing director said that with the installation of a very sophisticated on-line banking system and wide-ranging ATM services, the bank had acquired a clear edge over others to reach the people and serve them very efficiently.
Among others, Additional Managing Director AHM Nazmul Quadir, Deputy Managing Director (Administration) KS Tabrez and Deputy Managing Director (Operation) Ghulam Kabir were present at the meeting.
All the branch managers, divisional heads and other senior executives of the head office took part in the discussion.
Additional Managing Director AHM Nazmul Quadir stressed the need for adoption of austerity measures at every level of expenses keeping in mind the trust of the depositors reposed upon the bank.
