DBBL to donate Tk 10m for 'SIDR'-hit people

Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) has decided to donate Tk 10 million (one crore) to the Chief Adviser's Relief and Rehabilitation Fund for cyclone-hit people.
The decision came at an emergency meeting of the executive committee of the board of directors of DBBL at its head office in the city Saturday.
The board of directors of DBBL expressed its profound shock and sympathy for the affected people and decided to supply house building materials and other life saving relief goods to mitigate the sufferings of the people affected badly by the hurricane 'SIDR.'
The hurricane 'SIDR' roared across the country on November 15, living a trail of severe devastation killing over hundreds of people, leaving behind thousands of casualties, demolishing millions of houses, killing millions of livestock and damaging field crops.
People are living in unbearable condition in the hurricane-hit areas.
