DBBL's financial help for EWU Rotaract Club

Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) has extended financial assistance to Rotaract Club of East West University to help their 'Village Development Programme' initiated for poverty alleviation in the country.
DBBL Managing Director Yeasin Ali handed over a payment order of donation to Nahid Hassan Khan of the university and moderator of the Rotaract Club at the DBBL head office in the city Thursday.
Also present at the function were DBBL Additional Managing Director AHM Nazmul Quadir, Deputy Managing Director (Operation) Ghulam Kabir, Marketing and Development Division head AKM Shah Alam and Ahmed Taneem Muzaffar of the EWU.
Rotaract Club of East West University and Junior Economists' Forum have undertaken 'Village Development Programme' with a dream of self-reliant, prosperous and poverty-free Bangladesh by way of involving the students in the development process of the country.
As a part of that process, they have already distributed nine cows among nine destitute and helpless families of rural areas. They have recently initiated a programme of distributing 150 goats among the 150 families known as Padma Vanga Gram in Manikgonj district and are homeless and unable just to meet the basic needs for survival.
