DBBL's Tk 2.5m aid to 14 NGOs for rehab of physically challenged kids

Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) has extended financial assistance worth Tk 2.5 million (25 lakh) to 14 non-government organisations (NGOs) engaged in rehabilitation of the mentally/physically challenged children of the country.
DBBL Managing Director Yeasin Ali handed over the payment orders to the representatives of the NGOs at the bank's training institute in the city Wednesday.
DBBL Deputy Managing Director (Administration) KS Tabrez, DMD (Operation) Ghulam Kabir, DBBL Foundation Coordinator Mozammel Hosain Khan and representatives of the NGOs took part in the programme.
The bank carries out humanitarian activities for the overall betterment of the society, the DBBL managing director said.
The DBBL always extends its helping hand for the betterment of the mentally/physically challenged boys and girls.
DBBL Additional Managing Director AHM Nazmul Quadir said that the bank always tried to do something for the development of underprivileged people of the country.
While exchanging views, the representatives of NGOs lauded the role of DBBL in the fields of social and philanthropic activities.
Apart from the banking services to its clients, the bank is really helpful for the distressed people of the country, they said.
