DC Cup football begins in N’ganj today

The 16-team first DC Cup Football Tournament, organised by Aliganj Club of Narayanganj, begins today (Sunday) in Fatullah, reports UNB.
Mansur Sporting Club will face Pagla Krira Chakra in the opening match.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Narayanganj M Anisur Rahman will inaugurate the tournament at 3:00 pm.
Sixteen teams, split into four group, will initially compete in the round robin. But the 2nd round matches will be held on knock-out basis.
The champion team will be given Tk 100,000 as prize money while the runners-up team will get Tk 50,000. Besides, the best player of each match, highest scorer and best player of the tournament will also be awarded.
