Election to Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) will not be held this year, an election commissioner said Sunday, reports bdnews24.com.
"It will not be possible to hold the election this year," commissioner Sakhawat Hossain told journalists, ending all speculation about the city election.
The commissioner said the schedule for the national polls, slated for Dec 18, and the two-phased Upazila elections planned for Dec 24 and 28 would be announced in the first week of November.
