DCC polls in December

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) ATM Shamsul Huda reiterated that the Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) and municipal polls would be held in December. He said the Election Commission (EC) would announce the election schedules in November. The CEC divulged the EC plan while talking to journalists at his office after a meeting Saturday. Dr Huda said they would fix the dates of the elections keeping Eid-ul-Azha and school annual exams in mind. He also said that they had discussed with the lawyers about the amended draft of the Representation of People's Ordinance 1972.
