DCC to set up 13 cattle markets for Eid-ul-Azha

Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) will set up 13 cattle markets in the city to help the people buy sacrificial animals on the occasion of holy the Eid-ul-Azha, reports BSS.
Sources in the estate department of the DCC said the markets would be given lease on specific conditions through tender to the interested persons.
The DCC will start selling tender forms for the cattle markets from December 2.
The places selected for cattle markets are- Armanitola play ground and adjacent open space near Chitramahal, Jhigatala Hazaribag ground, Rahmatganj playground, Dhupkhola ground, the road from Chankharpool Chowrasta to Bakhshibazar signal, Balur Math adjacent to Brothers' Union Club, Uttara Azampur Government Primary School ground and adjacent open space of Rajuk, Meradia Bazar, west side of Taltala busstand, Agargaon slum area, open space adjacent to Postagola Alam Market, Shajahanpur Sunrise Sporting Club ground and open space of DCC at the south side of Outfall Staff Quarter at ward no 85.
The DCC has also given separate responsibility to its concerned persons for cleaning the markets on their closure.
