FE Report
Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and British High Commission in Bangladesh signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at a city hotel recently.
Under the MoU, the British High Commission will facilitate issuance of business visitor visa to the business community in general and to the members of DCCI in particular.
DCCI Acting President Salahuddin Abdullah and Head of Immigration of British High Commission Jonathan Verney on behalf of Acting British High Commissioner Duncan Norman signed the MoU for the respective organisations.
Before the MoU signing, a seminar was held on the new rules of British visa processing. Duncan Norman presided over the seminar.
In his address, DCCI Acting President Salahuddin Abdullah said the MoU would be a milestone for facilitating visa to the business community of Bangladesh and this would go a long way to promote bilateral trade and investment between Bangladesh and Britain.
While thanking the High Commission for choosing DCCI as partner he expressed the hope that DCCI and the High Commission would work more closely in the days ahead for mutual interest.
