FE Report
Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) organised a certificate distribution programme of the five-day training course on 'developing a distribution networking of marketing of products'.
Director MS Shakil Chowdhury was present as the chief guest at the programme at the DCCI Business Institute (DBI) in the city recently.
A good distribution network with skilled manpower increases revenue from sales that costs little or nothing to get, he stressed.
The DCCI director told the participants that if their product-line lends itself to distribution sales, they will have an opportunity to increase their sales and profits considerably.
He mentioned that distribution of right products in right time and right place has becoming one of the vital issues that manufacturers and businesses in the country in the present situation are struggling with.
Most of the companies lack experience and capability to handle a countrywide distribution mechanism for their products, he said.
Due to limitation of skilled distributors/intermediaries, industries are becoming dependent on a group of intermediaries who are virtually bringing the whole business to a monopoly situation, the director added.
The participants appreciated the course and requested for organising more such training courses in future.
Deputy Secretary (Training) and Course Coordinator Md Jawadur Rahman Chowdhury moderated the programme.
