DCCI, JCIB, BIID to develop ICT-based business network

Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Junior Chamber International Bangladesh (JCIB) and Bangladesh Institute of ICT in Development (BIID) signed an MoU on strategic partnership Saturday.
The objective of the deal is to facilitate the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) through developing an online platform and ICT-based network to create business and increase profit, says a press release.
DCCI President Zafar Osman, JCIB National President Aftab Mahmud Khurshid and CEO of BIID Shahid Uddin Akbar signed the MoU on behalf of the respective organisations at DCCI auditorium in the city.
DCCI president, in his speech, mentioned that ICT could be a tool to bring competition in marketing products and services of MSMEs.
JCIB president gave an overview of JCIB activities all over the world and said they have network in 150 countries. Local SMEs can have the access to this huge network, he said.
2009 Vice President of JCIB Tae gun Lee (Teddy) elaborated the mission and vision of JCIB and expressed the hope that the MoU would be helpful in diversifying activities of JCIB.
Safina Rahman, DCCI Director Nessar Maksud Khan, former members of JCIB and directors of DCCI also spoke on the occasion.
