DCCI workshop on trade with EU begins in city

A three-day training workshop for entrepreneurs and consultants of DCCI SEQUA Project under Asia-Investment II Programme of the EU, organised jointly by Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and SEQUA, GmbH, Germany, began in the city Saturday.
The main purpose of the workshop was to create awareness and enable the entrepreneurs and consultants to acquire knowledge on Bangladesh-EU trade relations, how to establish trade relation with EU, important issues for entering into European market, policy support in Bangladesh for SMEs willing to do business with EU, analysis of the product range, search for product-related co-operation partner, import duties on the products, competitiveness of the products etc.
The training workshop is being conducted by Wolfgang Wiegel, Foreign Trade Expert, SEQUA, Germany.
Consultants of DCCI and entrepreneurs of agricultural products, leather goods, jute goods, gift items, handicrafts and frozen foods are taking part in the workshop.
