DCH arranged free operation for cleft lip

The ninth Cleft Lip and Palate Project (CLIPP) started at Dhaka Community Hospital (DCH) on September 4, said a press release.
The DCH and MERCY Malaysia joint venture project has been organised by them every year since 2008.
It is a plastic surgery programme for cleft lip and palate reconstruction. Free of cost, it is only for the poor patients. Food, accommodation and travel expenses are being provided to the patients and their attendants. This programme will continue until September 10.
A team of 12 members headed by Prof Madya Dr Wan Azman Wan Sulaiman is conducting the operation. Seventy patients from different parts of the country have registered with the DCH.
