Dead fishes floating in Cox's Bazar seawater

COX'S BAZAR, Mar 21: Thousands of dead fishes are floating in seawater along the beach in Cox's Bazar.
Visiting the beach on Saturday, it has been seen that these dead fishes were floating in the waters about a few kilometres from Sugandha point in the sea to Darianagar point in Himchhari. Locals are collecting these fishes as people flock to the beach to see these dead fishes.
Save the Nature of Bangladesh chairman Moazzem Riyadh said, "This was for the first time, dead fishes were found floating in the seawaters. Maybe these fishes fell from a fishing trawler in the sea and floated along the beach. Details could be known after the fish test".
Beach worker Sheikh Munir Hossain said, "A huge amount of small dead fish suddenly floated in seawaters. To keep the sea clean, beach cleaners are collecting these dead fishes".
Local resident Syed Alam said, "Many dead fishes were seen floating along the beach. I can't understand why. I have been living in the beach area for a long time. But I have never seen floating fish along the beach like this".
Tourist Police Cox's Bazar Zone Additional Superintendent of Police Mohiuddin Ahmed said, "I have heard the news about dead fishes floating in the seawaters."
Earlier last year, several dead whales and thousands of tonnes of waste were washed ashore.
