Deal on promotion of solar energy inked

KHULNA, August 24: Khulna City Corporation (KCC) here Friday inked an agreement with Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) on the promotion of renewable energy (PRE). The agreement envisages a Tk 0.360 million (3.60 lakh) project to conduct a three-month baseline survey in urban households as well as small and medium enterprises in the city for solar energy, KCC sources said. In a joint collaboration with the University of Bremen, Germany, the KUET will carry out the survey. — BSS
