Death anniversary of Mirza Mehdy Ispahani observed

The 22nd death anniversary of late-Mirza Mehdy Ispahani, former Chairman of the Ispahani Group, renowned industrialist, and patron of education, was observed with due respect at the Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School auditorium on January 20 through recitation from the Holy Quran, Milad Mahfil, and a commemorative discussion.
On this occasion, students of the Mirza Mehdy Ispahani House unveiled a wall magazine published in his memory, says a press release.
Drawing and chess compe- titions participated by the school students were held.
Highlighting the life and contributions of Mirza Mehdy Ispahani, assistant teachers of the school Nreepesh Baran Sen and Anindita Sen Gupta delivered speeches. Among the students, Alishba Nawer, S.M. Shakahwat Hossain, Muntakim Hasan Shah and Juairiat Ahnaf also spoke on his life and achivement.
The programme was presided over by S. M. Mojibur Rahman, Head Teacher of the school. He said, "Mirza Mehdy Ispahani was a successful personality, educationist, sports fan and a celebrated father."
The programme ended with special prayer for salvation of the departed soul.
