The 19th death anniversary of eminent educationist, writer, playwright, organiser, founder of Dhaka Little Theatre and teacher of the Institute of Modern Languages of Dhaka University Prof Nazma Jasmine Chowdhury will be observed today (Friday).
Family of the deceased has chalked a series of programmes including food distribution among the indigent people at the city's Ahsania Mission Women Orphanage at Mirpur in the city today.
Nazma Jasmine Chowdhury 19th Memorial Speech will be held at the Institute of Modern Languages of DU after the Eid-ul-Fitr. Eminent educationist, researcher and Prof of Bangla Department of DU Ahmad Kabir will deliver the speech on 'Appraisal of Nazrul Literature'.
Nazma Jasmine Chowdhury, wife of renowned educationist, progressive writer and intellectual Sirajul Islam Chowdhury, died of cancer.
