Death anniversary of Saadat today

The first death anniversary of Kazi Nazmus Saadat, an educationist and politician, will be observed today (Thursday) through a two-day programme in Jessore.
Popularly known as Professor Rawnak in South-western Khulna-Jessore region, died of massive heart attack on the day in 2006.
He left behind his wife, one son and three daughters to mourn his death.
Saadat retired as principal of Government Sunderbans College, Khulna, in 2003. He was one of the founders of City College, Jessore, and member of Jessore Institute, a famous cultural centre.
A disciple of populist leader Maulana Bhasani, Saadat joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party when it was formed and became the founder general secretary of the greater Jessore district unit.
