Death of three Bangladeshi workers in Malaysia

Friday, 22 August 2014

Recently, three Bangladeshi workers died in Malaysia in a tragic accident. With their death, the dreams of three families died and now they are facing uncertain future. The deceased workers were working at a construction site when concrete span weighing 490 tons collapsed and crashed them to death.
It is understandable that the victims spent a lot of money to migrate to Malaysia and now their families are in great debt so they need immediate financial assistance.
The top executive officer of MRT Corp. resigned and the accident is being investigated into.  I am sure the victims' families will get adequate compensation. I hope the Malaysian government will ensure the safety of the workers so that such incidents are not repeated. The Malaysian prime minister has expressed his shock at this incident and called for an investigation into the matter.
Malaysia is a much sought-after destination for unemployed youths of this country who go there in the hope of changing their fate, but as ill luck would have it, these three had to meet an altogether different destiny.
