Death toll climbs to six -

KISHOREGANJ, Mar 24 (UNB): Three more bodies were recovered from the Meghna river on Sunday, two days after a trawler capsized in the part of the river flowing through Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj district.
The latest additions took the death toll to 6.
The deceased were identified as Anika Akter, 18, daughter of Daru Mia of Narsingdi district, Rupa Dey, 38, wife of Turun Dey of Bhairab municipality area, and Mahmuda, 7, daughter of police constable Sohel Rana.
Local people spotted the floating bodies of the trio at Bhairab Bridge and Pultakanda areas of the river and informed the local firefighting units, who recovered the bodies at around 02:30 pm.
