Death, violence scare Argentine game

Tuesday, 26 April 2011

BUENOS AIRES, Apr 25: Argentina is one of the world's greatest nations when it comes to football, but deadly violence is scarring the game there. An activist group "Let's Save Football" says there have been 13 football-related deaths in Argentina in just over a year. Journalists, judges and others who have examined the problem say a web of connections between hooligan gang leaders, clubs, politicians and football officials prevents prosecution in many cases and allows the violence to continue. - AP
