Deep depression forms over Bay

The deep depression over West Central Bay and adjoining East Central Bay moved slightly Northwestwards over the same area and was centered at 9:00am on Friday about 1045 kilometres (km) Southwest of Chittagong Port, 915-km Southwest of Cox's Bazar port, 950-km south southwest of Mongla port and 940-km south southwest of Payra port. The depression is likely to move in a West-Northwesterly direction towards India’s Andhra Pradesh coast. Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted distant cautionary signal number one. All fishing boats and trawlers over deep sea have been advised to remain close to North Bay and not to venture into deep sea, said a met office bulletin.
