The court of Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Mahmudur Rahman passed the order today after the case was filed by a young businessman of Chandanaish Upazila of the district. Advocate Iftikar Simul Chowdhury filed the case on behalf the complainant. Aftab in his complaint quoted media reports stating that LDP chairman Col (retired) Oli Ahmed in a public meeting organized by the party at Chandanaish on November 18 said, "One female MP cannot solve problems of thousand youths of Chandanaish. It will be better if some other beautiful ladies are brought here from Tungipara." Aftab said the statement made by Col Oli was published in most of the local dailies. He told the media at the court premises today that he felt the abusive remarks against woman MP Chemon Ara Tayab and the Prime Minister are derogatory for all women of the society and the remarks have hurt him.
