Delhi may deport Nur Hossain
Monday, 23 June 2014
The Indian government may agree to Bangladesh's request to extradite Nur Hossain, the prime accused in the case over sensational Narayanganj seven murders, reports bdnews24.com.
He was arrested in Kolkata last week.
The New Indian Express reported on Sunday that Hossain could be the first Bangladeshi to be deported from India since the signing of the extradition pact between the two neighbours in December 2013.
It quoted a senior Indian government official as saying, "We are looking into the case and may consider the Bangladesh's request favourably."
The hint came only three days before India's new External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's visit to Bangladesh from June 25 to June 27.
