Bangladesh requested the Indian authorities to immediately hand over the bodies of three Bangladesh nationals killed by Indian civilians in Tripura, and launch an inquiry into the atrocious incident.
Bangladesh also asked India to take appropriate actions at the earliest against those responsible in the atrocious killing.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially lodged a ‘strong protest’ with the Indian side against the killing that took place Sunday and expressed its deep concern over the matter, according to Foreign Ministry media note.
Three Bangladeshi nationals — Siddique Ali, 52, Anwar Miah, 40, and Omar Ali, 45, — all hailing from Gazipur union of Chnarughat upazila, were beaten to death at Khowai town in India’s Tripura state close to the border in Chunarughat upazila, according to a news agency.
