Delta Life Ins earns Tk 4.9b premium

Delta Life Insurance Company Limited has earned a total premium income of Tk 4.99 billion in 2010 which was Tk 4.47 billion in the previous year. This was disclosed at the 24th annual conference-2010 of the company's Ordinary Life Division in the city Tuesday, said a press release. Chairman of the board of directors of the company Syed Moazzem Hussain was present at the conference as the chief guest. In his address, the chief guest thanked the marketing associates and officers for achieving commendable growth in premium income. He told the conference that the company settled claims worth Tk 6.71 billion among around 0.60 million policyholders during the last three years, while the number of policyholders under OL and GN-GRB stands at 16,39,093 and under Group and Health Insurance 19,10,335. Addressing the conference, Managing Director Das Deba Prashad emphasised the importance of taking preparation for the year 2011 on the basis of last year's business operation and to work according to that plan. He also advised the field officers to put more effort with a view to accelerating the growth rate in premium income and assured them of all out cooperation from the management. Vice Chairman Prof Dr M Raushan Ali along with other directors and higher officials and invited dignitaries were present at the conference. Around 500 marketing officials attended the annual conference from all over the country. The successful marketing associates and officers who fulfilled the targets were rewarded at the conference.
