Demand for 'German textile finishing machine rising'

The demand for German-made textile finishing machine in Bangladesh is on the rise due to the highest quality of the product and service facility, claimed Brueckner Textile Technologies, a textile machine manufacturing company of Germany.
Marking the sale of 100 machines in the country, the company arranged a press conference at the Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) Saturday.
Bangladeshi agent Pacific Associates Ltd markets the machine of the company here since 2005.
Regina Brueckner, CEO of the German company, told the press conference that they manufacture textile finishing machines and sell those worldwide.
He said Bangladesh is already famous in the world for garment products so it needs quality machine for ensuring quality product and sustain in global competition.
The finishing machine of the company like Stenter, Compactor, Slitter, Dryer and Squeezer which are widely used in the knit and woven sector for the production world class quality fabrics are marketed in the country.
Regina told journalists that their machine differs qualitatively with others and they render after sale service sincerely.
Managing Director of Pacific Ltd Sahabuddin said the machine has the highest performance capacity of fabric production which is 0.1 million metre a day.
In reply to a question, he said the country has no such technological capacity now to assemble or manufacture such kind of machine.
