Demand for good liquoring strong

Market was quite strong for good liquoring types which held their values but Medium varieties were a touch easier. Clean liquoring poor leaf types were selling dearer but the plainest varieties eased a little. Blenders were again very strong. There was also fair support from the Loose tea buyers. Pakistan buyers lent some support. Dusts were an easier market.
CTC LEAF: 29,772 packages and 3 packages of Old Season on offer met with a good demand.
BROKENS: Good liquoring well made Brokens were in quite a strong demand and were generally firm and these sold between Tk 156 and Tk 160. Other types were mostly a little easier. Plainest varieties also eased by Tk 2 to Tk 3 with some withdrawals.
FANNINGS: Good liquoring clean Fannings were quite a strong market and were generally firm and these sold between Tk 156 and Tk 160. Medium and plainer types were about steady. Plainest were a little easier.
CTC DUST: 4,901 packages and 1 package of Old Season on offer again met with much less demand at easier rates. Good liquoring types met with a fair competition and were generally firm to slightly easier. Others eased by up Tk 5 and often more. CDs were a weaker market particularly the plainer ones which often declined by upto Tk 10 per kg. Blenders along with the buyers for Loose tea trade were fairly active.
